Activating Acronis Cyber Protect Backup With Your Plesk Server

Here are the system requirements and limitations of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Backup:

Installation and Activation of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud For Plesk Server

  1. Upon successful completion of your Acronis Cyber Protect Backup subscription, you will receive a welcome email sent via Acronis to you that require you to activate the services. Click on the link and it will bring you to Acronis portal for the steps to activate the service.

  2. Set a password and do note down your own unique account ID (sample as below). Your password will be use for the access to the Acronis portal and for the installation of the Acronis Plesk extension.

  3. Accept both the terms and agreements.
  4. Login to your Plesk server > Extensions. From the extension catalog, search for Acronis Backup

  5. Upon completion of the extension installation. Launch the extension and you will receive this screen. Click on the "I have an Acronis account" link.

  6. Sign in with your registered email (the email you receive the Acronis portal activation above) and password (that you have used for activation above).

  7. Upon successful logon, you will be prompted for the activation of the Encryption for the backup. Remain the Encryption disable as activating the encryption will fail the backup from Plesk extension. Click on the "Enable" button to begin the agent installation.

  8. The backup agent installation begin and you will see the progress as it goes on. The installation will take a couple of minutes to complete.

  9. Upon the completion of the agent installation and activation is successful.

  10. Click Done and you will be redirected to the dashboard. To begin your first backup. Click on the "Run Now".

  11. The backup will be started and upon completion, you will see the "Last Backup" will be updated.

  12. Click on the Backups tab and you will be able to see your last backup. Click on the date and you will be able to navigate to the files which are backup to Acronis Cloud.
