Activating Acronis Cyber Protect Backup With Your cPanel Server

Here are the system requirements and limitations of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Backup:

• PHP version 5.6 or later.
• Granular recovery of databases is supported only for local MySQL. Granular recovery of
  PostgreSQL databases is not supported.
• Besides the plugin, a backup agent must be installed on the same machine. If cPanel is running
  on a Virtuozzo container, the backup agent must be installed on the Virtuozzo host instead of the
  container.
• The list of supported operating systems for the backup agent (Agent for Linux) is available at

• The list of supported virtualization platforms is available at https://www.acronis.com/enus/support/documentation/BackupService/index.html#37870.html
  The agentless backup of VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V is not supported.

Installation and Activation of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud For cPanel Server

1. Upon successful completion of your Acronis Cyber Protect Backup subscription, you will receive a welcome email sent via Acronis to you that require you to activate the services. Click on the link and it will bring you to Acronis portal for the steps to activate the service.
   
   
2. Set a password and do note down your own unique account ID (sample as below). Your password will be use for the access to the Acronis portal and for the installation of the Acronis Plesk extension.
   
   
3. Accept both the terms and agreements.
4. Execute the following installation command on your Linux server as root user.
   
   sh <(curl -L https://download.acronis.com/ci/cpanel/stable/install_acronis_cpanel.sh || wget -O - https://download.acronis.com/ci/cpanel/stable/install_acronis_cpanel.sh)
   
   
5. Next, move on to install the Acronis agent on your server. To do this, login to WHM UI as root, navigate to Plugins > Acronis WHM & cPanel. Follow the installation wizard.During the installation, the software checks if the ports required for communication with the cloud are open. If some of the ports are closed, the software shows numbers of these ports and the hostnames for which a port should be open. Open the ports, close the wizard and restart the installation. Completing the installation may take several minutes. You can leave the page during this process.
   
   
6. Upon completion of the extension installation. Launch the extension and you will receive this screen. Click on the "I have an Acronis account" link.
   
   
7. Sign in with your registered email (the email you receive the Acronis portal activation above) and password (that you have used for activation above).
   
   
8. Upon successful logon, you will be prompted for the activation of the Encryption for the backup. Remain the Encryption disable. Click on the "Enable" button to begin the agent installation.
   
   
9. The backup agent installation begin and you will see the progress as it goes on. The installation will take a couple of minutes to complete.
   
   
10. Upon the completion of the agent installation and activation is successful.
    
    
11. Click Done and you will be redirected to the dashboard. To begin your first backup. Click on the "Run Now".
    
    
12. The backup will be started and upon completion, you will see the "Last Backup" will be updated.
    
    
13. Click on the Backups tab and you will be able to see your last backup. Click on the date and you will be able to navigate to the files which are backup to Acronis Cloud.
